Lady Gaga has become a bit unfocused in recent years, earning the unsavory title of a music "dabbler." 2013's ArtPop saw Gaga delve more into performance art than she had in years past (which is really saying something for a lady who routinely wears things like a dress made of meat), and also turned her attention to acting, appearing in two Robert Rodriguez movies and taking up residence in the FX thriller-drama American Horror Story: Hotel. She also released an album of jazz standards with Tony Bennett because that's a thing she can do. Thankfully, Gaga is primed to make a full-fledged album once again, telling Entertainment Weekly that her stint on American Horror Story will likely influence the sound of her new album, which result in something a little closer to The Fame Monster. "I have returned to something I've believed in so much, which is the art of darkness." That's how Gaga described her return to the studio. That's some solid hype right there.
