Details are still scarce on Annie Clark's next release but a promotional video for her Fear The Future tour whipped fans into a frenzy. The video itself didn't give much away, as Clark walked to a podium in a mock press conference before having a coughing fit, the kind of video only an artist as eccentric as she is could get away with. What it did reveal however, is that she's going on a great big tour.

Asia, Europe and North America will all be visited by the St Vincent crew in the latter half of 2017, which left many wondering if there would be much time to put the finishing touches to a new record. Crucially, however, Clark and her cohorts don't jet off until August and even after their one show in Japan, they have a two month gap before heading to play London's Brixton Academy.

It's not like Annie is short of material either. Speaking in January she mentioned how she wanted her next album to be her best and how the mind bending guitarist also had “enough material to put out three records by now.” Hopefully all these positive signals point us to a new LP before the end of the year, following up 2014's incredible self titled effort.
