10 Most Anticipated Albums Still To Come In 2017

4. As You Were - Liam Gallagher

For the youngest Gallagher brother, the last few years have been difficult to say the least. Liam has had to watch his brother Noel remain at the top of the musical pyramid with his solo efforts, while his own post-Oasis effort, Beady Eye, received a mixed response at best. After taking a step back to reflect, the “sunshiiiine” wailing frontman looks like he's returned to form.

A short set at the One Love Manchester concert didn't just allow us to see the arrogant, swaggering, Liam we all know and love, it gave us the opportunity to hear what new tunes he had to offer. Wall Of Glass, which had been release just a few days earlier, was given a public airing and not long after it was confirmed that the album, titled As You Were, would be released on 6th October. If the first single is anything to go by, we can expect the usual sheering guitar intros with hands in the air, tops off, singalong choruses.

That isn't to say it will all be a throwback with one of Manchester's favourite sons though. Gallagher is working with producer Greg Kurstin for this record, the man who helped produce Adele's 25 and has worked with the likes of Sia and Ellie Goulding. Don' expect Liam to display the vocal range showcased on songs like Hello and Chandelier but it will be interesting to see just how fresh and modern sounding As You Were is, after being worked on by one of pop musics biggest producers.

Rory Fallow hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
