10 Most Anticipated Rock And Metal Albums Of 2017

6. Creeper

If you’re aware of Creeper, you’ll know there are two camps that music fans fall into - people who love this band and people who haven’t heard this band. Storming into the minds of rock fans two years ago, the Southampton punks’ debut EP and follow-up The Callous Heart EP were lauded across the music press, and it didn’t take long for a genuine grassroots movement to form. While the hype machine is often detrimental to a band’s longevity, everything Creeper have done so far has been on their own terms and at an organic, natural pace. If you’re into the likes of AFI, My Chemical Romance or even Misfits, Creeper could be your new favourite band.

Signing to heavy metal powerhouse label Roadrunner Records (home of Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Korn) for their upcoming debut album Eternity, In Your Arms might seem at odds with what Creeper are about, but one glimpse at their fanbase says otherwise.

Their gigs are filled with scene kids, hardcore punks, metalheads, old crusties and everyone in between. There’s something going on here and on 24 March, it is about to get very real.

Luke Morton hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
