Death Grips are one of the strangest and most mysterious acts of the last decade. So much of what they have done in their career has confused fans and critics alike. But even by their standards, the video for Giving Bad People Good Ideas is a new level of weird.

It's almost impossible to even provide a synopsis for this video. An unnamed person mimes the song with a broken shoe and morphs said shoe into different shapes. That is literally it. For over three minutes. Maybe it's a middle finger to their own fans and their desperate attempts to rationalise everything the band does as a grand artistic statement? Or maybe they just really like destroying shoes?

Regardless of what it means or what it doesn't mean, we will never be given a clear answer by the band itself. They aren't ones for interviews or clarifying any of their music. We will just have to figure out for ourselves what on Earth this video is about, and how it has anything at all to do with the song.
