Is this a powerful, autobiographically introspective piece of 21st Century artwork, or just celebrity pornography? You be the judge of that, but it’s easy to see why Kanye’s Famous video was so controversial.

It focuses on several celebrities, with Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian, lying in bed naked. The biggest fallout was Taylor Swift, who publicly denounced the video, criticising Kayne for depicting her this way and for the lyrics which called her a ‘b*tch’.

Kardashian then released a video which seemed to show Taylor agreeing to the song, but conveniently did not mention the nakedness or the word ‘b*tch’. This led to Swift... actually, it’s a never ending rabbit hole. Let’s just say they fell out and move on.

The video was also criticised for including Rihanna and placing her between her former abuser Chris Brown and President Donald Trump, who himself has come under fire for abusing women. He’s even on record bragging about ‘grabbing them by the p*ssy’.

It also included George W. Bush, Anna Wintour, Kardashian’s ex Ray J, Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby. There’s too much to say to get into why they were all chosen, but you can guess why Cosby proved controversial.
