9. Armored Saint - Punching The Sky
Armored Saint are one of the most experienced bands to appear on this list, having originally formed back in 1982. Sadly, this experience didn't pay off as they released their eighth studio album earlier this year.
'Punching the Sky' is the heavy metal veterans first studio album since 2015 and its unimaginative approach, repetitive song structure and generally predictable tone made it a slight disappointment. Songs such as 'End of the Attention Span' are quite ironic, considering your attention span and perseverance are pushed to the brink throughout the record.
Thankfully, this album doesn't damage the legacy of these metal tyrants as they have been incredibly consistent leading up to the release of this record. However, their usual showcasing of talent makes this album seem even more disappointing in comparison.
