10 Most Embarrassing Instances Of Product Placement In Music

5. Kanye West €“ Christian Dior Denim Flow

Good old Yeezy is back, and this time he's less subtle than ever. In fairness, this one was recorded well before Facts, so maybe he's actually mellowed a bit. Then again, accusing a rival company of owning slaves...maybe not. Regardless, as mentioned, Christian Dior Denim Flow drops all of the pretence and puts its advertising intentions right there in the title. Featuring Kid Cudi, Pusha T, John Legend, Lloyd Banks and Ryan Leslie (clearly they all wanted a slice of that monetary pie), the song features all kinds of hilariously overt lyrics. The hook, for example (delivered by Kanye), features the repeated use of the title, making sure the brand sticks. In fitting with the completely-not-subtle theme, hip-hop musician Pusha T pretty much comes out and admits to how brilliant product placement is through the lyric €œYeah, six grand for a minute's time / Italian Vogue style a nigga for a minute rhyme€. Well, when you put it like that€ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj1qKL5UlC4
