10 Most Emotional Onstage Moments In Rock

7. Freddie Mercury Hologram - Queen

There's no other rock frontman who can do what Freddie Mercury did and probably never will be. As the main voice for Queen, Mercury's way of controlling an audience is something that only he could pull off, from the random club gigs to the way he devoured Wembley Stadium during Live Aid. However, the Queen train did have something special saved for us when they reunited for a tour.

Going out on the road with tribute singers, the main draw of the nights would be when the editing department came into play during the song Love of My Life. Being one of Queen's more notable ballads, Brian May takes to the stage with an acoustic guitar and plays through the chords, only to have a hologram of Freddie emerge to deliver the song to the crowd that he loved so much.

Without having to worry about his sickness or well-being, this is the Mercury that we all remembered in his prime, doing his absolute best to bring everything he could to the masses. As the song wraps up, the hologram goes to shake Brian's hand, with May reaching out a hand before tearing up in front of the crowd. Though something like this could be considered cheap if in the wrong hands, this is the exact labor of love that the greatest showman in rock really deserved.
