10 Most Exciting Rock Music Albums Still To Come In 2023
It's been a busy year already, but 2023 still has to plenty to offer in terms of rock goodies.
Fans of rock music have already had quite the bumper year in 2023.
Huge names like Paramore, Slipknot, and Metallica have added to their already-impressive array of records, whilst new acts like Blondshell, HotWax, and Militarie Gun have announced themselves in big ways with their stellar debut releases.
2023 is on course to go down as a pretty good year for music, but the calendar is far from finished yet. If the last few years have proven anything, it's to never assume that things will stay quiet for long.
Between now and December 31st, some absolutely gigantic albums are scheduled for release.
Recent rising stars look set to continue their momentum, old favourites will attempt to recapture old glories, and some bands that fans were worried were dead and gone will be making their long-awaited comebacks.
There's no saying yet how good these records will turn out to be, but one thing that is for sure is that everyone is very excited to see how they turn out.
Side note - some of these albums are only rumoured to be releasing this year, so fingers crossed that the heresay comes to pass.
10. Hard Reset - The Word Alive
In 2008, a group of lads from Phoenix, Arizona got together and started playing metalcore music. 15 years and a couple of member changes later, The Word Alive are still going strong with their seventh studio album on the way.
Fronted by highly acclaimed vocalist Tyler Smith, The Word Alive hit their peak in 2014 with the album Fear, their only US top 40 record and their first to chart across the water in the UK.
They'll be hoping to return to that sort of success with Hard Reset, which is scheduled for release on August 25th. Four singles have already been dropped from the album, one of which, New Reality, gave the band their first ever charting song on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts.
Though commercial success hasn't come their way, The Word Alive have still managed to cultivate a strong following thanks to their catchy riffs and Smith's excellent singing ability. Here's hoping that Hard Reset lives up to its name and finally gives these talented fellas their dues.
Fingers crossed that they aren't facing any stiff competition that week from one of the greatest rock stars of all time...
