10 Most Expensive Rock Music Videos Of All Time

1. Estranged - Guns N’ Roses ($5,000,000)

With an eye-popping budget of $5 million, Guns N' Roses' 1993 video for Estranged is the fifth most expensive music video ever made.

In fact, if you adjust for inflation, this thing cost over $10 million and is the third most expensive music video ever made.

Wow.

Another long one, the Estranged video takes inspiration from author Del James' short story Without You, which also inspired the video for November Rain. Estranged serves as the final part of a trilogy of videos, which also includes the aforementioned and the song Don't Cry.

Axl Rose has been left emotionally broken by the events of November Rain, and ends up getting arrested by the police to be evaluated by a mental health team. The facility where he's housed is probably where most of the money went, as that place looks really nice.

He gets driven around a lot in limousines. Maybe suffering a tragedy isn't so bad after all.

In the end, Rose finds salvation by jumping into the ocean and joining a pack of dolphins. It's an utterly bonkers end to a video that cost an utterly bonkers amount of money.
