10 Most Hated Classic Rock Songs (From Great Bands)

3. Jaded - Aerosmith

Aerosmith have more than earned their place among the all time greatest in rock and roll. Even when the band were floundering in the mid 80's, the charisma of Steven Tyler and Joe Perry proved it had the star power to outlast any trend, with songs like "Janie's Got a Gun" and "Rag Doll" being fantastic pop rock songs.

Somewhere around the late 90's though, the band started to dip their toes into waters that were a bit too poppy for their own good. This manifested itself in the 2001 album Just Push Play, which was the sign that the Bad Boys from Boston had gotten way too glossy for most rockers to stomach. While it's far from being a terrible song, "Jaded" was everything that was wrong with this era of Aerosmith, complete with a radio-ready sound and guitars that absolutely screamed millennial pop.

On any other day, the 70's version of Aerosmith would have laughed this song out of the room, but the song that we ended up getting was much more in line with the Top 40 than the blues-rock hits they were known for. As far as pop goes, it's fine, but for rock fans, this is so below the band's paygrade.
