10 Most Over-Hated Rock Albums Of All Time
5. Uno Dos and Tre Trilogy - Green Day
There have been countless debates among rock fans about which Green Day album is the best. While many tend to gravitate towards the heavyhitters like the pop punk masterpiece Dookie or the rock opera American Idiot, others have soft spots for the lowlights of the catalog like Nimrod or Kerplunk. Though it's an endless debate to sort out the best, many fans decide that the absolute worst comes in the form of the album trilogy Uno Dos and Tre.
On the surface, you can see the gripes of the fanbase, with most of the songs being a watered down version of the band we all fell in love with. While not being too offensively bad all around, the album is incredibly boring for a band known for making some of the most exciting punk music ever laid to tape. Then again, the albums are far from a dealbreaker in the band's catalog.
For what we have, the albums have their fair share of bright spots, from the opening blast of Uno's "Nuclear Family" to the garage rock meditation on Dos's "Lazy Bones." Out of them all, Tre has the most highlights with the soulful "Brutal Love" and the return to longer pieces on "Dirty Rotten Bastards." The trilogy does get a deserved reputation as Green Day's weakest effort, but the albums are still better than many other pop punks could be at their best.
