10 Most Over-Hated Rock Albums Of All Time
6. Motley Crue - Motley Crue
Out of all the fun-loving hair metal bands, Motley Crue was the one that was there from the beginning. Breaking onto the scene with Too Fast For Love, the band became the hottest group on the Sunset Strip and went on to create an all-time classic of the genre in Dr. Feelgood. Once the band fired Vince Neil though, most of the Crue faithful thought the good times were officially over.
The band decided to continue on with new singer John Corabi, but no one could get behind this new version of the band because of the sonic differences. Though the band's self-titled record with Corabi isn't in the vein of their previous work, it's far from being a bad record. Coming from a more hard rock background, this record shows what the Crue would sound like as an all-out metal band, with songs like "Hooligan's Holiday" showing a more raw edge to the band's sound.
The writing was on the wall for Neil to return though, and the fanbase ended up rejoicing once the band made up in the mid 90's. Motley Crue is a band that have four equally strong personalities, but their future still looked promising even without their primary voice.
