10 Most Over-Hated Rock Albums Of All Time

4. Dynasty - KISS

When it comes to the rock community in the 70's, no other band dominated the scene quite like KISS. Their unique mix of circus-level theatricality with stomping hard rock riffs made for some of the best tunes of the era from "Strutter" to "Detroit Rock City." After the band reassembled after cutting solo albums though, the hard rockers were having none of the disco elements of their next record.

With the opening single from Dynasty being the infectious "I Was Made For Lovin You," fans either were dropping off the radar or going into the next record fearing the worst. It's a shame that no one really gave this record the time of day, given the deep cuts being some of the more creative moments in the band's career.

There is some straight pop on this record like on "Sure Know Something," but the band still have a fair amount of hard rock riffs lying around on songs like "Magic Touch" and "X-Ray Eyes." This record also has the distinction of having some of the most hardhitting tracks from Ace Frehley from the fun romp of the Rolling Stones' "2000 Man" to the epic closer "Save Your Love." This record wasn't as balls-to-the-wall as something like Love Gun, but it's still far from a dud by KISS standards.
