10 Most Underrated Fall Out Boy Songs

2. Yule Shoot Your Eye Out

As the festive season gains traction once again, we're reminded of peace and good will to all men. The true meaning of Christmas is known to us all, yet the memo perhaps got lost on its way to Fall Out Boy, as the little-known Yule Shoot Your Eye Out is far from jolly.

A bonus track on the 2009 greatest hits compilation, Yule Shoot Your Eye Out is a less-than-gracious depiction of heartbreak over the holidays. It's scathing in all the right ways, and anyone who isn't the subject of the song will find it a thoroughly entertaining component of the family Christmas playlist.

The song emphasises bass guitarist Pete Wentz' reluctance to join in the festivities, and tackling the issue in such a hot-headed way makes for a song that is radically different from its Christmas contemporaries, which is something that Mariah Carey can't even achieve.

Predictable flourishes like jingling bells in the opening only serve to decorate the already amusing tune, and cement it not only as a thoroughly underrated Fall Out Boy song, but also as one that deserves far more love among Christmas music enthusiasts.
