10 Most Underrated Ozzy Osbourne Songs
1. You Lookin At Me Lookin At You - Blizzard Of Ozz
For all of the doom and gloom present in Ozzy's lyrics, his career has been far from one note. Even if not every sonic experiment has paid off in the long run, there have been tons of departures for the Prince of Darkness, from the sounds of nu metal to the straight up rock and roll on some of his early recordings. Who could have imagined that he would have ended up going power pop though?
That's right, in the midst of the sessions for Blizzard of Ozz, one of the B-sides from the sessions turned up in the form of You Lookin At Me Lookin At You. Though the Monty Python-esque title is already strange enough as it is, the actual backing track feels like something that could have come off a dark Cheap Trick song, as Ozzy sings in a slightly more upbeat tone than his normal snarling self.
There is even a point on here where he commits the cardinal sin of using an almost disco rhythm on the outro, which actually is so ridiculous it comes back around into being awesome again. Randy also delivers a lost guitar solo, which is almost surreal to hear after being kept in the vault for so long. Given the weird sound, it's understandable why this was left off of Blizzard of Ozz, and yet there's probably a parallel universe where this was the Ozzy song that broke him into the mainstream as a solo star.
