10 Most Underrated Ozzy Osbourne Songs
5. It's A Raid - Ordinary Man
For your average music fan, it was almost comical seeing the hardened metalheads get all up in arms when Ozzy was featured on a track by Post Malone. After being the Prince of Darkness for over half a century, had Ozzy finally lost the plot of heavy music? Despite the more flagrant denialists in the metal community, It's a Raid doubled down on the weirdness and showed that Ozzy could work well with the new school.
Coming at the very end of his latest album Ordinary Man, this is actually one of the few tracks off this record that throws down a mean-as-hell groove, with Ozzy riding the rest of the instruments with ease. Compared to the more mid-tempo tracks you got on most of this record, this has all the speed and bravado of a punk song, as Ozzy channels his inner demon for what could be his final album.
Even for all the naysayers going around as of late, Post Malone isn't too shabby behind this beat either, as he brings his singing style into sharper focus than many were used to. Seeing how Post always looked like a guy who wanted to be a rockstar, this might be the most logical conclusion for his style. Even when compared with the typical Ozzy tropes you'd come to expect, this unexpected left hook is the exact opposite of the Ordinary Man Ozzy sings about.
