10 Most Underrated Radiohead Songs
9. Spectre - Soundtrack
The producers of every James Bond movie have not necessarily been known to skimp out when it comes to the soundtrack songs. From Diamonds are Forever to No Time To Die, there is always a signature noir sounding song that ties every 007 thriller together in one form or another. And while Sam Smith did a phenomenal job reworking a pop hit for Writing on the Wall, it's a crime that we didn't get Radiohead's Spectre as the cinematic track instead.
Then again, it's almost weird to say that when you look at how different this is compared to something like Skyfall or You Know My Name from the past few years. There's a lot more haunting passages on this track, and Thom Yorke's lyrics are a bit more cryptic than what you'd expect from someone like Adele or Billie Eilish.
Out of all the Bond themes though, this is probably most suited to the movie that it accompanies. Instead of just making a generic spy thriller movie, this feels like Radiohead are zeroing on the kind of loneliness and mystery that surrounds a life like this, with twists and turns coming at every corner. Since these guys have songs like this in their arsenal, it's about time that we get an entire movie scored by Radiohead. I mean, we already had Jonny write musical scores, so why can't the rest of the band join in too?
