10 Most Underrated Rock Music Frontmen And Women

6. Myles Kennedy - Alter Bridge

He might be pretty famous these days, but Myles Kennedy is still damned underrated.

He first joined up with the remnants of Creed to form Alter Bridge in 2004, sticking to just vocal duties on their first album. This wasn't a problem, mind you, as Kennedy's four-octave range added some serious heft to the record.

Things really took off with the band's second album, on which Kennedy took a more active role in crafting the songs. Lending his experience as a guitar teacher, Kennedy finally took his place as the group's main man.

It takes a lot to helm a band during a performance of an all-out rocker, but it is an entirely different skillset to command a crowd on your own with just an acoustic guitar.

Kennedy can do this too, as evidenced by the many times he has serenaded audiences with unplugged versions of Watch Over You and In Loving Memory. He's so effable and clearly such a nice guy that it's impossible not to be drawn to him.

When Slash was looking for a frontman for his new band, it makes a lot of sense that he picked Myles.
