10 Most Underrated Rock Music Frontmen And Women

2. Brittany Howard - Alabama Shakes

Brittany Howard grew up on the likes of Elvis Presley and Dionne Warwick. Listening to her sing as an adult, that makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Taking influence from the soul and gospel-tinged music of her youth, Howard brought her incredibly powerful voice to the rock world when she started performing with Alabama Shakes in 2009.

The rest of the band must've thought they'd won the lottery.

Whilst some of the frontmen and women on this list go out of their way to capture audience attention, Howard simply doesn't need to do that.

Howard's love for music is infectious; you only need to look at her performing to feel that same carnal joy bubbling up inside yourself. She gets so completely lost in her output, to the point where her playing and singing looks as easy as breathing

She is, quite simply put, a natural talent and an absolute pleasure to watch perform.

There's no way Brittany Howard can be this gifted at everything. Maybe she's a really bad cook? Or she's terrible at Mario Kart?

Or maybe she's just perfect and the rest of us need to try harder.
