10 Most Unsubtle Rock Music Innuendos

5. Bad Boy Boogie - Mötley Crüe (1987)

It was inevitable the Crüe would wind up on this list. Their album Girls Girls Girls is a string of derivative glam metal tracks, all linked together by the overriding theme of, yep you guessed it, girls!

Although we could have built this list entirely from tracks by this band, Vince Neil's wordplay is so unoriginal it would become boring before you could shout "girls!". His lyrics are a worn-out reel of school yard bragging. When he's not telling you how tough he is, or how much partying he can do, he's shouting about how many chicks he can score. Man, is it tiresome.

Bad Boy Boogie was the epitome of this. The Crüe boast about their ability to roll into any town, pick up girls and make their escape before they're caught by angry parents. Don't worry, the group's "alibis fit like a glove" so their sordid behaviour will never be found out. Oh, until they broadcast it to the world in their music.

Vince Neil uses the old food metaphor sufficiently enough to let you in on his joke - with such poetic lyricism as "I got my finger in the pie" and "my hand in the cookie jar".
