6. Marilyn Manson Born Villain

Released in 2011 in promotion of Marilyn Manson's new album Born Villain, the video (which uses the song Overneath The Path Of Misery) is a collage of disturbing imagery directed by none other than Shia LaBeouf. Manson and LaBeouf became friends after meeting at a The Kills concert, and LaBeouf offered to direct Manson's next video. Starting creepy, things soon descend into violent as we witness the removal of a man's fake eye (followed by a trail of blood) and someone being shot in front of an attentive audience. But it's not until Manson begins piercing someone's cheek repeatedly with a large needle that things get really unnerving. From there, we see more flesh pierced by needles, a woman suspended by hooks inserted into the flesh on her knees and Manson sticking a gun in a screaming man's mouth and pulling the trigger, causing a massive explosion of blood.
