10 Most Volatile & Aggressive Prodigy Songs

10. Invaders Must Die

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3EIogaEwxY After the somewhat misguided Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned, The Prodigy released Invaders Must Die in 2008 with a point to prove. Gone were the somewhat flat synthetics of their previous release, instead the album felt like a breath of fresh air for a band sorely seeking one. The first single and title track off of it was a bombastic return to form. Invaders Must Die is a turbo charged, cyber attack on the 21st century and one that took the group forward without compromising their core sound. All the usual hallmarks are here like the penetrating basslines and break-beat drumming but the record just feels so vibrant compared to the over convoluted previous release. The bright laser, synth sounds provide texture, the gut wrenching guitar motif provides some well needed edge and the vocal samples are quite simply - cool as hell. They are one of the few dance acts to stick to their roots without regurgitating the same ideas over and over again and Invaders Must Die is a prime example of that. The whole track is a well rounded, infectiously fun, bomb blast that set the stage for Britain's premier dance act to return to where they rightfully belong.
