10 Music Videos Scarier Than Horror Movies

2. Interpol - Evil

Released in January 2005 as the second single from their second studio album, Antics, Evil is an Interpol song already with ties to the horror world thanks to its inspiration coming from Fred and Rosemary West, a married couple in the UK who raped and murdered teen girls over two decades from the '60s to the '80s.

The music video for the song is centred around a creepy looking animatronic doll who fans have named Norman. Norman is first introduced singing away at the scene of a huge car wreck before being carted off to a hospital ward by paramedics.

Unfazed by the trauma he's witnessed, Norman becomes even creepier as the video progresses and he begins randomly getting up and dancing around the real hospital ward the crew were filming on. The doll of Norman would actually end up being lost after filming wrapped up, establishing a sort of cult following around the little terror that fans lapped up in a similar way they do for any other big horror icon.

With a cult of personality already established for a creepy looking villain, Norman is still way ahead of the likes of Brahms and co. for the honour of being the world's scariest puppet.
