10 Oasis Songs That Beat 'Live Forever' In The Charts
5. Sunday Morning Call
In 2000, Oasis dropped their fifth album, entitled 'Standing on the Shoulder of Giants'. It included three singles, each peaking inside the top five. 'Go Let It Out' was the only one to claim the top position on the UK charts, while 'Who Feels Love?' and 'Sunday Morning Call' each moved as high as fourth.
The latter is not an instantly memorable Oasis song for younger generations nowadays, and it did not achieve a BPI certificate for so many hundred thousand sales. Nevertheless, it beat 'Live Forever' by six positions in the charts six years on, raising questions about the quality of pop back then.
In addition to this, the song marked the first time that Noel took lead vocals from Liam since 'Don't Look Back In Anger'. It may not have been as popular, but 'Sunday Morning Call' competed around the same time as Eminem dropped 'The Real Slim Shady'.
