10 Often Forgotten Nu Metal Bands

3. Mushroomhead

Bands having grudges and feuds against each other are nothing new, but in the case of Mushroomhead vs. Slipknot, it was a different story.

For one, it was actually the fans that started it, as both bands shared a similar gimmick with suits and masks. Slipknot, being the more recognisable band, often left Mushroomhead to receive more derisive comparisons.

Like other ensemble bands, Mushroomhead has gone through their fair change of members over the years. Original members leaving, rejoining, as well as others being replaced, it's all been a bit of change in style and sound too.

Yet they've still mostly kept to their melodic metal stylings, putting out a whopping seven albums over a twenty five year period. Soon to be eight, with new album A Wonderful Life expected in June this year (current global climate notwithstanding).

Though they may still get the odd unfavourable comparison, it hasn't stopped Mushroomhead from having the staggering catalogue of work that they do now.
