https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYsMjEeEg4g Raise your hand if you can remember a song by Harvey Danger not called "Flagpole Sitta." (No help from Google, either.) Got one? Awesome, then let me just say how exciting it is to know that one of the band member's parents reads WhatCulture! They were peppier than most people realized, with a lot of their music sounding closer to Ben Folds and Presidents of the United States than the harder-rocking bands they were often compared to. And that's not a bad thing...as long as you're not expecting a dozen more Flagpole Sittas on the record. Then you might be kinda bummed. The public weren't interested in hearing the rest of their dork rock stylings, however, and Harvey Danger eventually went the way of so many other misrepresented alt-rock "darlings" of the 90s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79r-buCxom4
