7. My Dad's Gone Crazy: The Eminem Show (2002)

Eminem has never shied away from airing his personal life in public. His daughter, Hailie, has been referenced in his work almost as much as his infamous ex-wife, Kim.

By the time it came to recording The Eminem Show his daughter had already made several appearances in his work. Notably, her vocals featured on the disturbing "'97 Bonnie & Clyde" - a chilling track that hears a father recruiting his daughter to help dispose of his murdered partner.

As you can imagine, Kim wasn't best pleased with her daughter being used in a diss track, with Em noting to Rolling Stone in 2011: "I lied to Kim and told her I was taking Hailie to Chuck E. Cheese that day.” But despite Kim's protests, he quite happily procured his daughter's input for The Eminem Show.

Inspired by Hailie constantly referencing the iritic behaviour of her father (who at that point was developing a pill problem) , "My Dad's Gone Crazy" is an example of Em using a fairly dark subject to generate material. Opening up with the sound of someone partaking in a certain white powder, the track features his daughter singing the line "I think my dad's gone crazy" while Em lays out his insanity for all to hear.
