Eminem's early records were riddled with skits, giving play by play accounts of fictional events. "One Shot 2 Shot" took the skit format and stretched it across a four and half minute track. This certainly wasn't unique to Slim Shady records; DMX was equally likely to drop the odd skit into an album, but Em took things to a whole other level.

"One Shot 2 Shot" tells the story of Eminem and his frequent collaborators D12 at a show that goes sideways. Opening up with the sounds of gun shots, the track hears several members recount the events of a shoot out in grizzly detail, complete with blood splatter sound effects.

There's not much self-aggrandising with these lyrics. Pretty much every member of the group freely admits to fleeing the scene, using fans as human shields, or leaving their partners to their fate. Despite the graphic nature of the track, it's one hell of an enjoyable number, if only for the absolute ludicrous nature of the content.
