9. Leah Woodward
Leah Woodward proves for sure that metal should not be a boys club. Inspired by Tara Mcleod of Kittie (who will come later in this list), Woodward is one of the guitarists in Aliases - the other being the guitarist from Sikth. Woodward plays math-rock infused riffs amalgamating a variety of genres, creating a truly progressive sound. Aliases are currently putting together their first full-length album, and if it's anything like the offerings on their EP it's going to be something pretty special. Woodward and fellow guitarist Pin seem to bounce riffs off each other in a way that is both amazing to hear and brilliant to watch. Check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMF41D8h1kE
