10 Pop-Punk Bands Whose Second Album Was Better Than Their First

8. Every Avenue

Much like The All-American Rejects, there's a strong argument that Every Avenue's second outing is their greatest work.

First full-length album Shh, Just Go With It saw Every Avenue tour with All Time Low and Mayday Parade among others, but the album didn't make many waves in any charts, nor really outside of the United States.

Less than 18 months later, new single Tell Me I'm A Wreck was uploaded to MySpace (Yes, it was really that long ago) to precede the release of the fittingly-named Picture Perfect album. The title track and For Always, Forever bolster the strong singles outing from PP, while Mindset and Clumsy Little Heart ensure minimal filler on this LP.

Starring collaborations with Ryan Key of Yellowcard and Tom Higgenson of Plain White T's among others, Picture Perfect is 40 minutes of pure, unadulterated pop-punk pleasure.
