One hot stuffy evening, while on tour in Honolulu, Hawaii, Aerosmith guitarist, Joe Perry began fooling around on his guitar during the group's soundcheck. The fooling around quickly turned into a few cheeky bars that resembled a funky melody and a whole lot of groove.

Perry repeated the bars over and over again until he turned to his other bandmates and asked them to lay down some drums and some bass.

After a while, the band went back to their soundcheck and forgot about the impromptu jam session. Thankfully, a few weeks later, Perry returned to the riff and concocted some silly lyrics in order to keep it in his head.

Not long after, "Walk This Way" was born and became the band's biggest hit to date.
