The Scientist was a fantastic song, Clocks also. However, much of Coldplays output has any enjoyment garnered from it obliterated by the sheer inanity of the sixth-form lyrics contained within. And as for that nonsense about skin and bones, and yellowness? Jaundice isnt sexy. Nor are X Factor contestants greeting on about sob stories while sound-tracked by your cynically heart-string-aimed ballads. Chris Martin, possibly apocryphally, once wept at a harsh review. Hed be advised to steer clear of me whenever Paradise is mauled on the karaoke.
