1. Being Part Of The Brilliant I Want To Beleah Campaign

Leah Shapiro became Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's drummer in 2008 after original drummer, Nick Jago, left. Her likeable personality and drumming style instantly won over fans, making her BRMC family member from the get-go. Leah completes the package that is Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.

On 17th October, 2014, Leah shared a very personal message with BRMC fans on the official Facebook page, where she revealed she had been diagnosed with Chiari Malformations, which are structural defects in the part of the brain and skull that control balance and other functions. After trying to play drums, Leah realised the effect it was having and decided to undergo surgery.

Shortly after, Robert and Peter organised a fundraiser for the surgery; releasing t-shirts that read 'I Want To Beleah' on them. All the proceeds, coupled with a fundraising page, helped towards the surgery. In less than two weeks, £10,000 had been raised and social media was awash with people sporting their 'I Want To Beleah' t-shirts.

As of 2015, Leah is, thankfully, making a recovery and tour dates have already been scheduled for summer (go Leah!). It's this community spirit that shows how passionate a fan base BRMC fans are. This final spot is not a problem; it's a sign of a solution. BRMC have one heck of a fan base.
