10 Problems Only Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Fans Will Understand

4. Forever Living With The Effects Of 333

Yep, every fan knows it. Released in 2008, The Effects Of 333 was where the band went 'experimental'. Described as ambient and noise, it's an instrumental record that didn't go down well with critics or fans, with Pitchfork giving it a score of 0.4/10.

Critic scores aren't important when it comes to BRMC (they're not critical darlings), but the fact that they never play the songs live and never mention the record should say something. It's a point in the band's history that they themselves are trying to forget.

Every act has a low point; it's inevitable, and this was almost certainly Black Rebel's. Luckily, they released two cracking albums after to make up for it.
