10 Rappers That Have Never Made A Bad Album

3. 2Pac

The beginning of the '90s signalled the very beginnings of gangsta rap. Though acts like NWA had kicked down the door for what the genre could be in the late '80s, it got much more interesting once the genre opened up, with Dr. Dre becoming the unofficial rap emperor of the West Coast. Though proteges like Snoop Dogg have become household names, Tupac Shakur was the most authentic rapper to ever come out of the game.

After starting off with standard hip-hop like on 2pacalypse Now, every single one of Pac's subsequent releases have held up as some of the most awe-inspiring lyrical ventures of the modern age. Whether you were listening to Me Against the World or All Eyez on Me, every single one of his verses was a dissection of what it meant to grow up on the mean streets of LA in the '90s.

For as many people that perceived him as dangerous, Tupac also gave a new light to the "thug" mentality, with songs like "Dear Mama" and "Changes" showing the more delicate side of the genre. Tupac could have easily released three more bonafide classic albums, but the streets ended up getting the better of him when he was gunned down in 1996. Plenty of posthumous albums have been released since his passing, but in just a few seconds, one of the most prolific voices of the decade had been lost forever.
