10 Reasons We're All Sick Of Pop-Princesses

1. Pop Princesses Grow And Change, So Do We

Britney Spears Most of my reasons might be number one for some. But I think most of us can agree with this. We discover Pop when we're young. We grow up with it for a while, and then we find something new. It's through no fault of the singer (usually). I listened to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera almost every day up until high school. Then I met new people, had new experiences, and found new music. And the new music just stuck. Yes, every once in a while there is a song that is really catchy, but the genre as a whole isn't one of my favorites. They're behaviors might be questionable, and their music might suck. But I don't think the concept of a pop princess will go anywhere anytime soon. Until then, the best we can do is either ignore it or embrace it. I'm going to ignore it because Pop is what unleashed Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus onto the world. We might be screwed up, but we damn sure didn't do enough to deserve those two.
