8. Mass Production From Disney
I think there's some unwritten rule that all children should grow up what Disney shows and movies. Those same actresses we grow up with tend to try and build a mainstream adult career once they hang up their mouse ears. This wouldn't be so bad if it was just one person every year. But the list of pop singers that got their start from working for Uncle Walt is actually quite high. My best guess this is all calculated by averages: Several young singers pursue an adult career, and by the law of averages only a select few will make it to the top. It just sucks for the rest of us because we usually have to hear or see all of them at one time. It might be better if the Disney machine sat down and found the one that actually has a chance to make it. Until then, we're stuck with the ones that will be the next Ashley Tisdale. Don't know who she is? My point exactly.
