10 Reasons There Won't Ever Be Another Prince

2. His Sex Appeal Was Unique, But Somehow Universal

Was he gay? Was he straight? Was he a woman trapped inside a man's body? Was that woman bisexual? Did he wear women's bikini bottoms because he was trying to seduce someone or because they were just more comfortable than briefs?

WHO CARES? Who cares if Prince was polymorphous, androgynous, or pansexual? He was bursting with - and celebrating - passion of all varieties, and none of it had to be labeled to be enjoyed.

That's the statement Prince made long before the LGBT community really came into the spotlight and began de-stigmatizing what conservatives had considered "weird" sexual traits.

It's easy to look at songs like "Darling Nikki" or "Let's Pretend We're Married" and see nothing but the dirtiness of what Prince was singing about, but underneath the raunchiness and controversial lyricism, there was an endorsement to be yourself. Prince loves you no matter what your sexual identity is, so just keep being your sexy !*$% self.

There's no homophobia or misogyny to be found in a Prince song. Just wide open sexuality. And that's a beautiful thing.
