10 Reasons Why Andrew W.K. Is The Greatest Human Being Of All Time

2. Some People Believe He€™s Not Real

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWeQxBHlgJ4 Does Andrew W.K. actually exist? This may seem like a strange question, but there are some people out there who actually think he€™s not a real person. The rumours go that Andrew W.K. is a character invented by shadowy people who want to remain out of the spotlight, and that the original person who played the part was replaced with a new actor around 2005. Some have even suggested that there are several actors all playing the same part simultaneously. Ironically, the seeds of this conspiracy theory were sown by W.K. himself. A mysterious man named Steev Mike is listed as Executive Producer on I Get Wet, and at one point W.K. wanted to change his stage name to this. But some people believe that Steev Mike is actually a front for the real person or people pulling the strings (a few believe it€™s Dave Grohl), and confusingly, Andrew W.K. has even implied that this is the case. Then, around 2005, W.K. stopped making music and touring, and the apparent reason for this was a legal dispute, the details of which he couldn€™t specify due to confidentiality clauses. When he finally released new music, 2009€™s 55 Cadillac, it was first put out on W.K€™s own label Skyscraper Music. Yet the name of this was soon changed to €“ yep, you guessed it €“ Steev Mike. When he was asked about all this by Larry King, W.K. confusingly replied by saying €œIf you don€™t believe that Santa Claus exists it doesn€™t mean that the joy that you would receive from the idea of Santa is any less valid€. But in 2010 he decided to confront the rumours head on, and firmly denied he was a creation of mysterious behind-the-scenes Svengalis, or that he was in the Illuminati. All of the above beg two opposing questions: are the rumours all a joke created by Andrew W.K. that got out of hand? Or are they all true, and he€™s desperately trying to conceal that fact?
