10 Rock Album Covers That Led To Massive Lawsuits

5. Blonde On Blonde - Bob Dylan

As far as lawsuits are concerned, Bob Dylan probably missed the opportunity to make out like a bandit in the mid '60s. Given how everyone was trying to copy his signature style, he could have been one of the richest men in the music industry if he weren't so modest about his gifts. It's just a shame that some of his artistic brethren didn't seem to share the same sentiments.

Being the artful folkie that he was, the original gatefold sleeve of the album originally featured black and white photos that Dylan had selected by looking through the portfolios of some of his friends. While he had assumed that he'd gotten the permission from the photographer to actually use them, he missed the important point of running it by the people in the actual photos.

After realizing she was on the inner sleeve of a Bob Dylan record, actress Claudia Cardinale asked that her image be removed from any of the future pressings. Still, if you have an original pressing of the record with Ms. Cardinale on it, you could probably trade that in for some big bucks. Compared to the normal duds that you find, that might be an episode of Pawn Stars that you'd want to be on.
