10 Rock Albums That Peak With The Final Song
9. The Ultimate Sin - Ozzy Osbourne
In 1979, Ozzy Osbourne was chucked out of Black Sabbath for apparently doing too many drugs.
How it took them that long to reach that conclusion is baffling.
Not one to be put off, Ozzy got back in the saddle and embarked on a very successful solo career. By the time 1986 rolled around, he'd released three records all on his own and a fourth was on the way in the form of The Ultimate Sin.
Most of the album was written by guitarist Jake E. Lee, who felt he'd been cheated out of his writing credits on the previous album.
A record company stealing from an artist? Unheard of!
Funnily enough, the only song that Lee didn't get a credit on was the album's final track and its only hit single - Shot in the Dark.
It's crunchy metal affair with Osbourne singing about creeping around at night on the hunt for a victim. This fits in nicely with the single artwork, which depicts the singer as a floppy-haired vampire bat.
A fantastic song and another big hit for Double O, Jake E. Lee must have been absolutely seething.
