10 Rock Albums That Were Killed By One Song

5. Jaded - Aerosmith

It's no secret that Aerosmith have been known as sell outs in the world of hard rock. While they may have started off as a bold hard rock force in the 70's, they have almost completely distanced themselves from their older sound with a more polished approach to their records. Though not every one of the band's "sell out" records are bad, many fans had had enough by the time they heard "Jaded."

Once the track first hit the airwaves, fans were treated to one of the cleanest songs of the band's career, with a chorus that just screams 2000's pop. With all the processed harmonies and shimmery guitar riffs, it's almost impossible to believe that these were the same guys that were responsible for some of hard rock's greatest cuts like "Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way."

What makes the song even more tragic is...it's actually not that bad. I mean, by Aerosmith standards it falls flat on its face, but when it comes to pop in the new millennium, you could do a whole lot worse than this. However, the fact that Aerosmith put this out left their accompanying album Just Push Play being reviled by every classic rock fan imaginable. "Jaded" might not be the worst song in the world, but it was definitely a massive blow coming from the kings of 70's hard rock.
