10 Rock Artists That Had Hit Singles Over A Decade Apart

7. Kiss - 14 Years

Since they first dropped a record back in 1974, Kiss (or KISS, if you want to pedantic) have released 60 singles over their long and eclectic career.

The face-painted demons have also struggled to really penetrate the top ten in their home country, with just two of their songs entering that prestigious club. And wouldn't you know it? They were released over a decade apart!

Funny that.

First up was Detroit Rock City and its B-side Beth from 1976. Actually, wait a second, the record that reached number 7 had Beth as the A-side and Detroit Rock City as the B-side, even though that last song is way more popular now.

Old music is weird.

Anyhow, 14 years later in 1990, a remix of the band's song Forever reached number eight, their first top 40 single since 1979. To date, this is the last time that Kiss have made any sort of chart impact, and the band haven't released a single since 2015.

Maybe they're gearing up for a massive return some time soon?

Or maybe Gene Simmons is perfectly happy to sit at home and count his money.
