10 Rock Artists That Had Hit Singles Over A Decade Apart

6. George Harrison - 15 Years

Former Beatle and co-producer of Monty Python's Life of Brian (no really, it wouldn't have been made without him) George Harrison had an up-and-down career after The Fab Four called it a day.

He was the first of the group to score a number one single on his own and he found great success as part of supergroup The Travelling Wilburys, but his work is not held in quite the same regard as Paul McCartney's or John Lennon's.

Harrison could have appeared on this list twice. 1973's Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) was his last UK top ten until 1987's Got My Mind Set on You, and his next big hitter wouldn't happen until after his untimely death.

In 2002, months after Harrison had succumbed to cancer, the song My Sweet Lord was re-released. This was what had given George his first number one many years ago, and it did the same for him here.

This 15 year gap between hits was the longest of Harrison's career, but not the longest for a solo Beatle.
