10 Rock Artists That Had Hit Singles Over A Decade Apart

5. David Bowie - 16 Years

David Bowie is like the Wally/Waldo of modern pop music; you can look at a picture from any time period and he'll be in there somewhere, hiding in the corner, probably dressed as an alien.

From his early novelty records to his 70s glam peak to his reinvention in the 80s and 90s to his self-reflective final record Blackstar, Ziggy Stardust was always in the mix, which is why his songs were so successful over such a long period of time.

He achieved his first top ten single with 1969's Space Oddity and the hits just kept on coming, even if there were some extended breaks. The largest of those was between his appearance on the 1997 charity version of Lou Reed's Perfect Day and his 2013 single Where Are We Now?

Where Are We Now? served as the lead single to Bowie's comeback album, The Next Day, which was dropped out of nowhere. As for that charity song, Bowie shared the microphone with a who's who of stars, including Tom Jones, Elton John, Boyzone, and country legend Tammy Wynette.

It's quite the video; seek it out if you haven't seen it already.
