10 Rock Artists Who Have Released A Ridiculous Number Of Albums
3. Neil Young - 45
World famous Canadian musician and hat-wearer Neil Young began his career in the folk-infused haze of 1963.
After playing in bands for a number of years, Young finally released his first solo debut record in 1969. It was self-titled and made absolutely zero impression on any charts anywhere except Japan.
Still, Neil didn't let that get him down.
His second album was recorded with his backing band Crazy Horse, who would return to Young's side many times over the next six decades. He would also release music with groups called The Shocking Pinks, The Bluenotes, and Promise of the Real.
On his own or backed by a band, Young has put out 45 different studio albums in his long and ongoing career. That number would be higher if his work with Buffalo Springfield and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young counted.
Young has never been one to stay quiet on political issues and continues to use his art as an expression of his views on our modern times.
Not even pulling out of Spotify was going to stop him. Long may he continue to put the world to rights.
