10 Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

5. Surrender - Cheap Trick (2,007 Times)

Breaking the 2,000 mark for the first time on this list is a band that have been entertaining dads across the world since 1973.

Cheap Trick are an American classic rock band who know a thing or two about live music. Their best-selling album is called Cheap Trick at Budokan and was recorded live at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo.

The group were very popular in that country, so the record was initially only made available there. Over time, word of this incredible live album spread, and it launched the band into another level of fame.

Surrender features on the Budokan album and has been a part of pretty much every Cheap Trick live show since it was first performed back in 1976. It's a classic narrative of young versus old; a kid wanting to live their best life and party whilst their crusty parents tell them not to. These themes clearly resonated with fans, as it's been played 2,007 times in concert.

According to Setlist, the song I Want You to Want Me is close behind on 2,004 plays. Will it ever crack the number one spot? Watch this space.
