10 Rock Music Songs That Have Been Played The Most Live

6. Raining Blood - Slayer (1,876 Times)

The third and final thrash metal band to appear on this list is the one with the most played song of the lot. For the sake of completionism, Anthrax's most played song is Caught in a Mosh with 1,439 overall plays.

Released in 1986, the year thrash hit its screeching peak, Slayer's Reign in Blood catapulted the band to new heights through its catchy riffs and downright evil subject matter. The opening song is about a real-life Nazi scientist; doesn't get much more evil than that.

The final track on the album is Raining Blood, easily the band's most famous and popular work. This is reflected in the statistics, as it's also their most-played live.

With 1,876 performances and counting, Raining Blood beats out its nearest competitor by just 33 plays. That song is Angel of Death, the aforementioned Nazi scientist number.

The band haven't toured since 2019, so that number has been stagnant for a little while now. However, you can never count a great act out, so expect it to rain blood a few more times before the storm clouds subside for good.
